1 - Following a successful pilot run, registration is now open for Strathclyde Institute for Genealogical Studies online microcredential module: Effective Listening and Self-Care for Genealogists. Designed for professional genealogists, this professional development course offers valuable insights into supporting clients who encounter unexpected research findings or challenging ancestral histories. 2 - A Genetic Genealogy Symposium will take place online on Saturday the 26th of April 2025. The symposium will be interdisciplinary in nature, with shorter presentations focussing on current research projects. Recordings of the presentations will be made available for two months to conference participants. Speakers from a variety of disciplines and backgrounds will share their experiences and thoughts around the themes of Autosomal DNA, investigative genetic genealogy and methodologies surrounding unknown parentage cases. Find out more here.
